I'm so pleased to announce that I won the title of Master Portrait Photographer Of The Year, for 2013/2014. This was achieved by entering the Maryland Professional Photographers Association, (MDPPA) photography competition's during the year and by winning Best In Show and first place awards that resulted in the highest score for the year.

Our annual MDPPA convention and photographic competition was held last week. The results were awarded at last night's award banquet. I was happily surprised by also winning the Meyer Rivkind Memorial Award for the Best Portrait Of The Year 2014 and the award for Best Portrait Of A Man, 2014.

In addition was quite honored to win the Elite Award from the American Society of Photographers, for the highest scoring ASP photograph as well as The Certified Professional Photographer's (CPP) award for highest scoring photograph at the state's annual competition, also winning a space in the Traveling Loan Collection. I received 9 honors for the night. I'd say it was a good night.

I enjoy entering photography competitions because it helps me stay fresh and helps give me an edge when photographing for my clients. Thank you to all who have cheered me on.
